Fundraising Day at Northside Shopping Centre

On the 6th of April the members of Off Grid assembled early in the morning in what we were wearing at the Speak Out, which was a Green Off Grid T-Shirt and Black Jeans at Northside Shopping Centre

For today, we were given permission by Northside Shopping Centre to walk around the Shopping Centre with buckets to collect money.

We did a 5 hour shift from 9.30 to 2.30, collecting money almost constantly.

When we finished up at 2.30 we counted all the money and put the coins into Bank bags, which we exchanged all the coins into cash at the Post Office.

We raised a very high figure of 615 euro.

We are now currently organising a 'Cycle to the Dail' Day in which all members of Off Grid will raise money and awareness before this event and then Cycle to the Dail.

The future is looking bright for Off Grid currently and we might have a good shot in getting the solar panels for our school and putting the school Off Grid...
