The Guide

This is the step by step guide to how you can follow in our footsteps and install solar panels on your school, home or any other building

Step 1: Making a Team

The first and one of the most important steps is to assemble your team this may not be necessary if you are doing a smaller project but it will help to split the workload. In our case we assembled a team of fourteen students to work on this project.

Step 2: Split into Committees (Optional)

If you are trying to do a bigger project it may help if you give each member of your team clear jobs. The way we did this was splitting into committees which you can learn more about on the meet the team page of this website.

Step 3: Find Services In your Area

This step is where the work really begins, you need to start checking what service providers work in your area. I would recommend if you can locate all forms of green energy providers in your area as this will give you more options down the road.

Step 4: Check Your requirements

Before you can make a decision on what form of green energy or what provider you want to work with you need to figure out what you actually need. You need to know several things such as energy usage for the building and how much you want to reduce it.

Step 5: Compile Your Options

The next thing you should do is write a list of all the options you have to meet your goals. If none of these will work for financial or any other reasons you may need to reign in your goals to more reachable ones.

Step 6: Choose Your Best Option

Now that you have seen all your options you will hopefully be able to make your decision and set your financial goal.

Step 7: Start Fundraising

If you are a non profit organisation you may need to fund raise to get enough money to pay for whatever service you have chosen to use this can be done in many different ways and it is completely up to you.

Work in Progress

As the project is not finished this guide is a work in progress we will be adding details on several topics mentioned above in the future so stay tuned
