The Board Meeting

The Board Meeting was at 7.30 in our school Saint Fintan’s High School on the 5th of December.

The people in our Young Social Innovators group who attended were Frank Wolfe (Co-Ordinator), Ethan Dodd (Head of Communications) and Dario Regazzi (Head of Documenting)

We were fortunately given the grateful opportunity to be the first ever students to go to a Board Meeting in our school.

We introduced ourselves to the Board and began by telling them what our YSI project was about and our aim and that we are focused on Renewable/Green Energy and getting Solar Panels in our school and that we are trying to set an example to other schools across Ireland to start using more Solar Panels.

We discussed a lot about the struggles we have been having with money and that we have had incredible experiences such as meeting TD Brid Smith and Gino Kenny so far and receiving excellent advice.

We also discussed that we hope to raise roughly 3000-4000 euro, and we are aiming to get 7 2KPW Solar Panels which cost 6,600 euro and that it is truly a worthwhile investment as it would be a Publicity Benefit and Technology Benefit.

The Board Members recommended us to a few excellent contacts whom have a lot of experience in these topics and that they would be very keen in our YSI project .

We were very thankful to this very helpful advice and hope we can take action in some of their advice as soon as possible in the future of our YSI project.
